Collaboration Hubs
The aim of our Collaboration Hubs is to create formal platforms where:
industry concerns and priorities can be discussed
problem solving and road-maps can be accelerated
tangible results can be achieved.
The Sustainable Leather Foundation welcomes all leather industry stakeholders to participate in these collaboration hubs regardless of whether they are partnership members of the Foundation.
Individuals can choose to participate in just one of the hubs or in all of them if they feel they have something of value to contribute. These hubs are designed to foster action and are not just discussion groups.
We require experts from across the value chain to work with us to ensure relevance for the industry. Output from the hubs, in the form of position papers, technical information, best practice and innovative solutions will inform the standards for the industry through cohesive and agreed adoption principles.

Collaboration Pledge
The needs of the leather industry have evolved at a rapid pace in recent years with much greater emphasis being placed on Environmental, Social & Governance responsibilities. It is the duty of every organisation to operate mindfully of the People~Planet~Profit equation and to actively work for improved outcomes .
In order for the leather industry to successfully meet the challenges we face, both now and in the future, it is essential that we work together in collaboration with our industry peers.
The Sustainable Leather Foundation is committed to fostering true collaboration for the benefit of our industry and this is our public pledge to actively seek opportunities to work together, with shared goals that will create collective action for improvement.

The pledge
As an organisation engaged in the leather industry, we pledge to seek out opportunities to collaborate with others in a pre-competitive manner. We understand that, in a world of rapid change and higher levels of consumption, we must be open to new and better ways of meeting our current needs without sacrificing the needs of future generations.
Through collective action, we aim to uncover new solutions that support the objectives of all collaborating parties. We recognise that not every collaboration will achieve its desired objective. However, the lessons gained from these experiences will bring us closer to our collective goals for a more sustainable leather industry.
